First of all, we have to thank you to all the attendees to the workshop "design & Architecture" that we orgonised last 20th of November ; Jorge Alaman and his students, Raúl, Vero, Emmanuel, the associates and Candela (UNICEF)...
Sometimes reality surpasses fiction. One goal was to convey the future workforce of this country about the global situation of mixed cultures that we already are living. It certainly will increase in the future and will condition our profession. And also the goal was to share Sonia experience about how the design has to work in a real company.
It is not only about talent which is 10% of the designer skills. The other 90% is about: work, effort, psychology, creativity and the capacity to understand what the company needs and its philosophy.
On the technical part of the event, Raul Villares (Sonia Design Manager) offered his vision and experience throughout all the product design process.
It is curious that usually all starts with an idea, a thought, an image, a philosophy, a sound... this is creativity. All this always affected by the feasibility and costs criteria. All this energy must be model and conditioned to become a real product.
The date was picked coinciding with the International day of children. As members of UNICEF, we did not want to lose the opportunity to share the extreme situation that children still have in too many places of the world. We were fortunate to have the presence of Candela, a contributor to UNICEF who explained what UNICEF is about and how it works.
All of us were blown away when feeling the passion she has on this!
Satisfaction for all was such that we are looking for our next workshop date.
